Common questions
How is BS200 different from a portable jump starter?
A portable jump starter is stored until a failure. BS200 stays connected to the vehicle and supports the battery during every start, while also providing battery monitoring through the app.
Do I need to charge it before installation?
For first use, charge BS200 to at least 80% before installation. Once connected, it automatically replenishes from the vehicle electrical system while you drive.
Which vehicles are compatible?
BS200 supports 12V AGM, EFB, and GEL lead-acid systems in most gas vehicles up to 3.0L and diesel vehicles up to 2.5T. It is not compatible with 24V systems or pure EV propulsion batteries.
Does it replace a damaged battery?
No. BS200 supports starting and reduces cranking stress, but it cannot repair a physically damaged battery or one that can no longer hold voltage.
Does the app require a subscription?
No registration fee or subscription is required. Connect through the ANCEL Super Starter app rather than the phone Bluetooth settings.
